Description
The Phlebotomist collects, draws samples, and processes laboratory orders and prepares specimens for testing for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. Provides excellent customer service to our patients, external and internal customers. Provides and fosters a positive, professional, and productive environment with the laboratory department.
The primary goal of the El Rio Health Phlebotomist is to support El Rio’s Mission of providing comprehensive, quality health care that is affordable and accessible to all who may have healthcare needs, by successfully performing the primary essential functions

Work Hours
Monday - Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
Experience Requirements
2 years
- Two (2) years’ experience as a or Phlebotomist or Medical Laboratory Assistant.
Qualifications
- • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate (CPR) from an American Heart Association (AHA) accredited program.
- • Certificate from accredited school for Phlebotomy.
- • Employees in this position are required to have reliable transportation that can meet any operational reassignments of the organization during the workday. If an employee is driving during work hours, the employee is required to possess a valid driver’s license and must comply with Arizona vehicle insurance requirements.
- Preferred:
- Four (4) years’ experience as Phlebotomist or Medical Laboratory Assistant
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) with the ability to speak, read, and write in both languages effectively.
