Our phlebotomists draw and prepare blood for medical testing, transfusions or donations. Our team is trained to collect blood via venipuncture, capillary punctures, and Vascular Access Devices (VADs). We have the ability to be stationed in hospitals, clinics, outpatient care facilities, diagnostic laboratories and blood donation centers. This posting covers our openings across the various hospitals and medical care centers across Ann Arbor. Performs phlebotomy, specimen receipt, processing, specimen distribution, computer order entry and/or requisition completion, and other pre-analytical tasks as required. Tracks specimens through appropriate computer functions when available, to ensure that all specimens are routed accurately and in a timely manner. Assures complete and accurate patient samples, patient demographics, and diagnosis codes are provided, and submits to the laboratory for testing. The position requires flexibility to work between 7:00 AM and 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with a 1-hour lunch break. Additionally, you will rotate one Saturday every 4 weeks from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Qualified applicants must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel to all Clinical Lab Locations: Ann Arbor, Brighton, Canton, Fowlerville, Livonia, Milan, Plymouth, Ypsilanti.
